Keller nominated for Conn. Appellate Court

HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) — Gov. Dannel P. Malloy is tapping some familiar faces in his latest round of judicial nominations.

The Democrat on Thursday announced he has tapped Superior Court Judge Christine Keller to serve on the Connecticut Appellate Court. Keller is married to former House Speaker Thomas Ritter of Hartford.

Malloy also nominated former Republican state Sen. Andrew Roraback, the GOP's 5th Congressional District candidate; well-known Hartford defense attorney Hope Seeley; and former Groton state Rep. Thomas Moukawsher (Moo-KOW' shur), and Karen Goodrow, director of the Connecticut Innocence Project, to the superior court, along with 11 others.

The nominees all need legislative confirmation.

Malloy said he does not plan to fill the remaining 15 superior court vacancies at this time.
