Senator Joe Lieberman is chairing hearings and looking into whether a breakdown in communication or poor judgment calls led to the Fort Hood shootings.

Senator Lieberman said that what's been reported in the media, since the Fort Hood shootings, has been very disturbing. And like 9/11 suggests, there was a failure to connect the dots.

The panel of experts all agreed that the Fort Hood shootings was an act of terrorism. And, that there was likely a failure for intelligence agencies and the military to connect the dots because of fear of being politically incorrect toward a Muslim officer in the military.

After the hearing, Senator Lieberman said that's what he took away from the session as well.

On another matter, Senator Lieberman revealed there's a lot he likes about the new Senate Health Care Reform proposal announced yesterday but he still cannot vote for it because it contains the public option.
