Newtown looks to add school resource officers

    NEWTOWN, Conn. (WTNH) -- The Newtown Board of Education has unanimously approved a plan that would put school resource officers at all four elementary schools next year.

    Security officers would also be assigned to the schools.

    The New Haven Register reports the Board of Selectman still needs to approve the plan.
