NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) -- Snow Emergency Route: Towing and plowing will take place on Tuesday night in New Haven.
The following is a press release:
(New Haven, CT) Tonight, the City of New Haven will undertake a large snow emergency towing and plowing effort on the main arterials which are posted “snow emergency routes” and on streets in the downtown area.
This towing operation will occur overnight tonight, beginning at 6 pm and ending on Wednesday at 6 am.
This is being done in order to allow for more complete snow removal on these streets and in preparation for tomorrow’s re-opening of downtown businesses.
Any car parked on a posted “snow emergency route” or on streets in the downtown area will be subject to towing.
If any resident is unsure if their street is a posted “snow emergency route”, they can check the city’s website. There you will find a listing of all streets that are scheduled for towing tonight.
In preparation for a second towing and plowing operation, on Wednesday and Thursday, parking will be allowed only on the even side of the street. Any cars parked on the odd side—citywide—will be subject to towing.
This second towing and plowing operation will take place tomorrow, Wednesday, February 13th, again beginning at 6 pm and ending Thursday morning at 6 am. This towing and plowing operation will be city-wide.
Below, please find a list of streets that are posted snow emergency routes and will be part of tonight’s towing and plowing program.
