Greenwich, Conn. (WTNH) - Two people have been displaced from their home after a fire at 22 Alden Street in Greenwich. Firefighters responded to the home at approximately 8:18 PM Sunday to a reported structure fire.
When firefighters arrived, the three car garage attached to the home was fully involved and began spreading to the home. Crews were able to knock out the fire at 8:45 PM, but the fire made the home too hazardous for anyone to be inside. The two residents are spending the night at a friend's home in the meantime.
Fire crews remained on scene until 11:15 PM to control any potential hotspots left in the home. The fire is currently being investigated by the fire marshal.
