Callers react to surprising study about beer

(WTNH) -- Viewers are sounding off on a surprising report about beer, and a response to a comment from yesterday's Voice of the People.

"Whether this is right or wrong, whatever happened, my really really worse concerns is this has turned into racial incident. Why can't things be just judged in a court of law" asked Pat in Wallingford. "It doesn't need to be brought into a black versus white issue. It just divides the country even more."

"In response to the gentleman who called about the parents who aren't being charged with negligence for their child being killed in the wood chipper; those people will never be the same the rest of their lives. They don't need to be put in jail. And that man must have not an ounce of compassion," said Sally in Wallingford.

"Them New Haven cops that were firing guns on State Street, they should be thrown off the force and they should go to jail for discharging a firearm in the city limits," said an anonymous caller. "Some idiot judge will them go off free because it's all politics."

"If they say beer makes you smarter, than I should have a lot of really smart friends. I know a lot of friends that drink a lot of beer and they are not smart," said Darlene in Waterbury.

"If I wanna get smart does that mean I have to drink a lot of beer or just one beer per day," asked Dave in West Haven. "You gotta be specific on what I have to do."
