(WTNH) -- Viewers are sounding off on a variety of topics from Yale cutting down some trees, to truancy fines, to a principal's resignation, and more.

Elsa from Orange said, "those people that are complaining about the trees that Yale wants to cut down, they are the first ones that would complain during a storm, where UI or CL&P had a problem with the trees coming down. At least Yale is paying for it now."

Ray from New Haven said, "and then they want to cut up oak trees. Oak trees are messy, they make acorns, why don't they put up coconut trees."

Anonymous from New Haven said, "you know it really makes no sense for a student to throw something at a principal. They should know better. And there's no way that principal should have resigned."

Mary Beth from Waterbury said, "don't make the parents have to pay for anything. Make the children do community service or something like that. This way it'll make the children not skip school."

Sharon from Watertown said, "Mr. Atkins and his comment about rape, totally unacceptable. And he and these people that think they know how a woman feels when she's been raped should be castrated."
