(WTNH) -- Callers are sounding off about Olympic champions being taxed, beach parking, and Governor Malloy's recent trip to China in today's Voice of the People.

Mike from Groton said, "it's totally wrong for these people to have to pay taxes on anything. Especially all the money they spend, their parents spend for training and everything. And then they want them to pay taxes on it. We just won't have an Olympic team."

Anonymous from New London said, "people need to realize the Olympians are not being taxed on the medals themselves. They're being taxed on the cash prizes that come along with it. And that's one of the reasons the country is in the situation it's in in, because nobody feels that they have to pay what they should pay."

Bob from Newington said, "the beach at Old Lyme 'Sound View' charging for parking. I think it's ridiculous...I'm working two jobs trying to make ends meet. I think these people are getting greedy, and I feel really bad for the business owners down there. The state is getting out of hand with these charges."

Louise from Ansonia said, "fine let Malloy go to China. One way ticket. Keep him there. You Know what Malloy, I can't wait for you to get out of office."
