(WTNH) -- Plenty of viewers are weighing in about a lawyer who brought a gun into a New Haven movie theater. Not only that, but it was during a showing of the new Batman film.

Dennis from North Haven said, "I believe it's just a feeble attempt to gain notoriety for probably a less than successful law practice. The type of person that seeks attention like this probably has an ego deficiency. I would hope that the state would pull his permit, confiscate his weapons, until he's been evaluated psychologically. As lawyers he and his council should be aware that ignorance and lack of common sense and disregard for others definitely is not protected by the second amendment."

Pete from North Haven said, "It just goes to prove you can be educated, but still ignorant at the same time."

Dawn from Shelton said, "I understand what happened in Colorado was very upsetting for the people that were there and the families, but we do have the right to bear arms. And if it's not specified like for post offices or certain banks that you can't have a gun in there, and you do have a legal permit to carry, I don't see what the problem is."

Carol from Stratford said, "I believe he carried that gun into the theater and intended to get arrested to make a little name for himself, and getting some publicity."
