(WTNH) -- Wrong-way crashes, drunk drivers, and the state budget; those are just some of the hot topics folks are buzzing about. Here's tonight's Voice of the People.
Ronald from Seymour said, "I'm calling about the wrong-way drivers. I encountered one a few years ago on 91. I was going north and they were going south and we missed each other. He was very, very close and then I read in the paper the next day there was a head on accident. Fortunately, no one got killed, but, but it could've been me."
April from Waterbury said, "I don't understand why people that are caught drinking and driving are not given jail time. People are so worried about smokers and banning smoking, but how many smokers have killed someone while lighting up a cigarette. The laws have to change and jail time should be imposed. The breathing apparatus in the car was obviously not working because I would just take someone else's car and go out and drink so that is really something that is not gonna fit, something that's not gonna get drunk drivers off the road."
Anonymous said, "you want to know why the state of Connecticut is bankrupt, because of all the welfare and free oil we give away and food stamps galore the State of Connecticut can't afford, it finally caught up to was. That's the reasoning and let's have our Governor turn around ship every one of them out."
