(WTNH) --  A couple of you have weighed in about loud commercials and what's being done about it. Plus several of you have called us about your experiences with wrong-way drivers, in the aftermath of Old Lyme's deadly accident. Here's just a few calls in tonight's Voice of the People.

Catherine from Wallingford said, "regarding the wrong-way driver incident. Unfortunately I think this happens many more times than people realize, or maybe it has corrected itself before it has become a fatality, thank goodness. But on two occasions, two separate occasions, my husband and I have both witnessed together and apart, wrong-way drivers going up the exit ramp, getting on the wrong way, on Exit 13 in Wallingford."

Ed from Vernon said, "I just wanted to make a statement about Senator Joe Lieberman leaving the Senate. I'm a staunch Republican, but I've always had so much respect for him. He's always challenged so many ideas that are important to the people and I will certainly will miss him in the U.S. Senate."

David from Waterford said, "I was pleased to hear on the new today that the new federal laws in effect requiring that commercials on television not be any louder than the programming they are aired on. I hope channel 8 is paying attention to that ruling because Channel 8 has been one of the worst offenders in their own commercials, for news and such, being louder than the program they are aired on."
