(WTNH) -- Many of you are talking about gun control and mental health issues. You're also weighing in on News 8's choice not to cover funerals of the victims. Here's tonight's Voice of the People.

Elle from Seymour said, "you take away guns, someone intending to do harm will build a bomb, they'll find a way. Whether it's a gun, a knife, a bomb, who knows. The biggest thing is recognizing when someone has a problem, and trying to get them help. So we have to do something about mental health and the availability to people, make it easier for them to get the help they need."

Diane from New Haven said, "I think it's terrible that the news people are parked outside funeral homes while these families are grieving for their loved little ones. They should be ashamed of themselves."

Steven from Bristol said, "I just saw your news director on the 6 o'clock news, all the credit in the world to you for honoring these people."

Lynn from Portland said, "the people of the State of Connecticut need to be extremely proud of Governor Malloy. He did an outstanding job throughout this whole tragedy. I'm not so sure every other Governor would have done as well as he had."

Steve from Seymour said, "I'd just like to say the Connecticut State Police are doing a terrific job, and Lieutenant J. Paul Vance is a true, true professional the way he's handling the news conferences."
