(WTNH) -- Many people are still talking about the tragedy at Sandy Hook and Friday's response to the violence by the NRA. Here's tonight's Voice of the People.
Elle from Seymour said, "I'm an NRA member, but I'm deeply disappointed in their message to get armed policemen in every school. That's not the answer. The answer is to pull the assault weapons and anything that can be used as an assault weapon, pull it. Ban it. Get it out of stores, get it out of people's hands. Yeah, I believe in arming the teachers, yes, but getting police at every school? They are ridiculous."
Mark from North Haven said, "What I think is, why don't you do buyback program not just for guns, but for those video games? And if they have to give them away, do it but give a different video game. If they trade in a game, give em a different game, educational or something. Just a thought."
Audrey from Newtown said, "I know we've been inundated with the press and people from all over the country and all over the world, and although a lot of people in town, their nerves are frayed because of the tragedy that we've experienced, and all the mourning we've been going through. I want to express a deep gratitude from everyone here in Newtown for all the outpouring of love and care and concern and finances and presents, and everything else. I know everyone who's not here feels what we feel and they're trying to do their best to take care of us. And I wish everybody a very happy holiday, and be sure to hug the ones that you love."
