(WTNH) -- The Newtown tragedy has forever changed many lives, and the family of a child who survived the attack is now asking to sue the state for $100 million. Many of you have a lot to say about this. Here's tonight's Voice of the People.

Felicia from Norwalk said, "I feel that that family that is suing the state for that Sandy Hook incident, is very wrong. That's wrong, you don't do that, you have grieving families and here you are suing."

Jerry from East Haven said, "what I think she should do is thank God that it wasn't her kids who was one of the children who were killed in that incident. She should thank God for that instead of suing the state."

Laurie from Stratford said, "I understand there is misfortune and the trauma that their child is suffering but I don't know, I don't think it should be taken out on the state. I think they did what was necessary."

Jen from West Haven said, "his parents should be ashamed of themselves. The attorney should be ashamed of himself for exploiting this child in the way that they are."

Carl from New Haven said, "listen there are armed guards in schools, what about Wilbur Cross? What about Hillhouse? They're there, and how come you can't get into the State Capitol without an armed guard searching you or the courts or anywhere there's a politician. It's ridiculous, get these kids some protection."
