(WTNH) -- Tonight, folks are sounding off about adults needing a learner's permit before they get a driver's license. They're also weighing in on a controversial photo in the New York Post. Here's tonight's Voice of the People.

Elle from Seymour said, "it's another way of the state gouging more money out of people who live here. It's not for safety. In a way, it might be a little bit, but most adult drivers have had some experience and they just want to get a driver's license."

Al from Watertown said, "in regard to the fiscal cliff, everyone in the federal government, from the President on down to the senators, speakers, House of Representatives should have their salaries stopped until an agreement is reached. These are like two babies playing basketball, and it's my ball and if you wanna play my game then we're not gonna play at all. They oughta get some sense and get some people who have some brains to be able to make this thing work."

Ransom from Milford said, "I think the photographer that took the picture of that guy on the tracks is an idiot. He thinks that a flash in a subway station is gonna stop a train. He should have got down and helped the guy up off the track. And I think the newspaper went way overboard showing the picture."

Joe from Waterbury said, "here's the media criticizing the newspaper for taking the photo, but yet here you guys are showing it on national television. It doesn't make sense."
