Voice of the People: Feb. 26, 2013

(WTNH) -- A plan to put up crime cams in Waterbury has many of you sounding-off and you also have a lot to say about a proposal to install tolls on state highways. Here's "Tonight's Voice of the People."

Anonymous from New Haven said, "I believe that the cameras will make people a little bit more conscious. However, isn't it sad that we have to have cameras in downtown Waterbury to make sure people don't...trash their own city? It's a shame."

Chancey from Waterbury said, "I think that's um invasion of privacy. It's wrong, it's just wrong."

Dwayne from Danbury said, "I think we should not have tolls in Connecticut. We have enough revenue in Connecticut to supply for the highways and roadways. I am definitely not for tolls in Connecticut."

Moose from Oakdale said, "If they put toll booths up are they going to lower the gas taxes? Cause gas taxes went up when they eliminated the toll booths. And if they put the toll booths up I think they should eliminate the gas tax again."

Tanya from Waterbury said, "What's wrong with these people? Now they wanna put tolls. They don't know what else to raise now. They don't care about the little people, they really don't. It's ridiculous."
