(WTNH) -- Tonight many of you have a lot to say about a Yale student who was sentenced to community service following a deadly accident at the Yale Bowl. And you're also sounding off about a proposal to boost distracted driving fines. Here's Tonight's Voice of the People.

Sydney from Oakville said, "I think it's a good idea that they raise those fines for people talking and texting on the cell phones. Maybe it will stop people from doing it."

Sharon from Watertown said, "I agree, this is very, very dangerous."

Lisa from Waterbury said, "This is regarding the young man who accidentally killed one person and injured two others at the Yale Bowl. I agree with his sentence of 400 hours of community service. But I believe he should be required to do that community service in Connecticut. He needs to pay his debt to society here."

Gerald from New Haven said, "So it's ok for the Yale student to...not to go to jail. If that were me I would have gone to jail."

Deborah from Fairfield said, "This young man already feels the guilt, he has to live with this for the rest of his life and he's doing 400 hours of community service. It won't go unnoticed for the rest of his life. And I think that's punishment enough, so I think justice was served."

Anonymous from New Haven said, "They wanna make Monday after the Super Bowl a holiday, seriously? What are we gonna call it? Hangover Monday, let's get real people."
