(WTNH) -- Folks are talking about everything from legal action being taken in the wake of the tragedy at Sandy Hook to New Year's resolutions. Here's tonight's Voice of the People.

Jerry from East Haven said, "I don't think the state could have done anything to prevent this tragedy, so instead of trying to sue the state, this parent should be thankful to God and all the angels in heaven that her child was not one of the casualties."

Tamika from Norwalk said, "I really feel as though we as a people should not voice our opinion on what the parent of a child that survived should or should not do. We're not in their shoes. We don't know what they're going through, just because they're doing a lawsuit does not say that they're not grateful that their child has survived."

Raymond from Waterbury said, "I feel if Barack Obama doesn't support armed guards at the school, then he shouldn't have them for his daughters at her school. They've got five armed sharp shooters on the roof of their school at all times, but our children don't count?"

Diane from New Haven said, "regarding the Benghazi attack, I think the Obama administration and President Obama himself have blood on their hands. It was absolutely inexcusable, constant pleas for more security and it was ignored. Those four deaths are on his hands and his administration."

Sharyn from New Haven said, "I do not make New Year's resolutions, but every day that God gives me I try to be the best person that I am and pass that on to someone else."
