Voice of the People: Jan. 10, 2013

(WTNH) -- A town gun law proposal in Weston has many of you fired up tonight. And some of you are also sounding off about a Florida professor's conspiracy theory surrounding the tragedy. Here's tonight's Voice of the People.

Frank from New Haven said, "My message is to the professor down in Florida. I think what you need to do is focus in on yourself or contribute to the tragedy that happened here. We don't need people like you."

Anonymous from Bridgeport said, "This whole ban on guns is not going to hurt anybody, but the law abiding citizen. You are not gonna stop the gangs, you are not gonna stop the criminals gun free zones, you're not gonna stop nuts from coming in and doing what they do."

Robert from Woodbury said, "A criminal is a criminal and they will do what they want because they have no disregard for the law. Weston is only suiting to hurt the law abiding citizen who has not comitted any crimes and who is a proper and prudent firearm owner."

Gail from Propsect said, "Absolutely should town be able to make their own gun control ordinance, absolutely."
