(WTNH) -- Tonight many of you are still sounding off about gun laws and you also have a lot to say about football players and head injuries. Here's tonight's Voice of the People.

Bob from Bethel said, "It is time to get serious, let's stop hearing about the impossible, non-effective gun laws. Have our local governments take responsibility and start hearing about permit security solutions in our schools. That is what is lacking and that is what would have made a difference on a tragic day."

Mike from Southington said, "The government is side stepping the real issues. It's not guns, the people that comitted these crimes had mental health issues. And the government doesn't do enough to house or medicate the mentally ill. They just throw up their hands and turn them loose on the public."

Elle from Seymour said, "Concerning head injuries on football players, there's very little you can do to protect them. As long as it's a contact sport there will be head injuries and football wouldn't be football without contact."

Francis from New Haven said, "Them guys don't have to play football, hey they want 50, 60, 100 million dollars a year. I mean you're not going to get that for nothing."
