(WTNH) -- Tonight some of you are sounding-off about Oprah's interview with Lance Armstrong and many of you are still fired up over the assault weapons debate. Here's tonight's Voice of the People.
Renee from Groton said, "I don't understand why any home would have the need for an assault weapon. I wish they would be banned from our state and from our country. And the man from the NRA that compared target shooting with an assault weapon to bowling. What kind of mentality is that?"
Bob from East Lyme said, "I think it's time the NRA is impeached. Enough of these assault weapons, how many bullets do you need to kill a deer. And how dare they use the president and those kids as a political ploy. NRA, your days are numbered."
Bob from Prospect said, "I've had firearms my whole life since I was 14-years-old. I'm 76-years-old now. I've never shot anybody in my life and don't intend to in the future. Why don't we put the blame where it belongs, on the people not on the weapons?"
Nick from Old Lyme said, "I'm calling about the interview this evening with Lance Armstrong. Why would anyone want to watch that for a person who did what he did. No, I will not be watching that interview."
