(WTNH) -- Many of you have a lot to say about the Newtown tragedy and the millions of dollars in donations to help in the recovery effort. Here's tonight's Voice of the People.

David from Waterford said, "I'm still waiting for a punch line on a news report from earlier today that Joe Lieberman is on a committee that will decide what to do with the money donated in Newtown. We have reached a point where we need people to decide who is going to decide, this is pure insanity."

Elle from Seymour said, "It's good to hear so much money is being donated to Sandy Hook. Eight million dollars, I do hope some of that money goes to the parents."

Anonymous from New Haven said, "Governor Malloy taking yet another trip. The state is projected for something like I don't know, whatever billion dollar deficit it is at this point. And he's going to waste more money to go and rub noses with the Washington people for gun control that they already talked about. Malloy needs to stay in this state and take care of the business in this state.

Diane from West Haven said, "Are you kidding me? I think people need to get a new hobby. Really measuring sandwiches? And the length of them? Please there's so many other things in the world to be concerned about."
