(WTNH) -- Many of you are sounding off about a couple at a restaurant who switched their seats because they were seated next to a child with down syndrome. And you're also weighing in about an education initiative in Hartford. Here's tonight's Voice of the People.

Anonymous from Niantic said, "I'm calling regarding the scholarships they're giving in Hartford. What about the local people who live in local towns like Niantic, Waterford, New London? How about those children? I feel like it would be fair to give them a chance."

Mike from Oxford said, "Give the people a break. They are in the restaurant for their own. They don't need to sit next to anybody they don't want to. They didn't tell anybody else to move, it was their choice, leave them alone, they're paying for their seats."

Carol from Branford said, "I think that the man that spoke up for the little boy with down syndrome should be commended for speaking up on behalf of the boy. That family that changed tables because he has down syndrome, they should be ashamed of themselves for doing that."

Carl from New Haven said, "Listen our kids are subject to enough violence. Wrestling is bad enough, but this stuff here, it's head bashing. You want to see your kids out in the street head bashing each other or playing a little basketball?"
