(WTNH) - In today's Voice of the People, callers talk about everything from Sunday liquor sales, to the East Haven Police Department controversy, to Governor Malloy borrowing millions for a state-of-the-art bio-science lab on the UConn medical center complex.
"Hasn't our government done enough to bankrupt the country," asked Linda from Orange. "We don't need this at this time, you know we give these politicians free reign. It's getting a little ridiculous, everybody's gonna end up paying for this down the road."
"I would like to express my concern about opening liquor stores on Sundays," said anonymous from New Haven. "When I was growing up Sunday was always a special day: attend church, family dinner. When stores open on Sunday that changed that day for many families and this has not been for the better."
"I just feel everybody needs to rise above this," said anonymous from East Haven, "especially about this priest, and try to make some peace. I had a dad who was an officer in New Haven and he had to serve those streets everyday. It's not easy. I'm not taking sides, who's wrong who's right, come to an end."
