(WTNH) -- Our story about severed cats heads turning up in Oxford has not only been turning people's stomachs, it's been getting them to call our Voice of the People hot line.
"I think you should think about who is doing this. I mean, this could be a budding serial killer. Think about that," said an anonymous called in Guilford. "And I'm sure that whoever is around this person is aware that this person isn't quite right. Maybe this person needs help. Again think about it, it's very disturbing."
"People should realize that cruelty to a defenseless animal is a sign of cowards and weakness. Kindness and compassion is a sign of strength and courage," said Mary in Danbury.
"It just makes me sick that people would do things like this," said Dickie in Oxford. "And then you know you turn around and two days out of the year, maybe Thanksgiving and Christmas, you can actually turn the news on and see a whole half hour of news that is actually enjoyable and good and spiritual."
"I had a house full of company for a 93-year-old person's birthday party party. It was a very nice dinner, and then on comes your news about cat heads. I thought it was disgusting. It was really not a timely time at dinner time to talk about cat heads. Please be more selective and diligent," said an anonymous called in New Haven.
If you have something you want to sound off about, call the Voice of the People hot-line at 203-212-WTNH.
