(WTNH) -- At noon we asked News 8 viewers to give us their opinions on the sanctions imposed on Penn State by the NCAA, and apparently you guys have lots to say about it.
"Penn State got exactly what it deserves," said Giovanni in Hamden. "I can't believe those people sat around and did nothing while those children were being molested. They should have closed down the program for four years."
"I think it's a little too harsh, because all of those victims are gonna sue and get a lot of money from the lawsuits. So I think all of those sanctions are really too much," said Gary in Cheshire.
"I believe that the punishment inflicted on Penn State was fair and just, and let's all put this behind us," said an anonymous caller in Stratford.
"But they shouldn't take the bowl games away from the kids that want to go on and be professional athletes," said Ken in New Haven. "A lot of kids won't go to Penn State anymore because of that."
