(WTNH) -- Our viewers have a lot to say about the Connecticut parents who let their 5-year-old daughter swim with sharks while on vacation in the Bahamas.
"What audacity and nerve the city has to say, oh well, too bad, it's not our tree anymore, it's your tree, it's on your property. If my tree in my yard falls on my neighbor's house, guess what? They come after me. I thought your story was excellent, I hope you do a follow up, and I think the guy is getting a really raw deal from his city," said Terry in East Lyme.
"I am appalled at the parents that I just saw on the news, letting their 5-year-old swim with sharks," said Sandra in East Haven. "Sharks are known to be predators, all kinds of sharks, including sand sharks. What is wrong with these parents? I don't care if they're swimming with an instructor or not. What's the instructor going to do if the child got bitten or killed?"
"She said that she didn't think that there was any harm. It was like riding on a roller coaster. Well, there's a lot of roller coasters that her 5-year-old wouldn't be able to ride on," said Louise in New Haven.
"I think about swimming with the sharks, it's totally okay if it's my child, I have no problem with it, as long as it's structured and it's safe," said Carissa.
