(WTNH) -- Callers are calling out comments made by Gov. Dannel Malloy and Bridgeport's Mayor Bill Finch.
"Just amazed that he's on camera, on TV saying he definitely wants a Democratic senator," said Carl in Shelton. "I don't think it's up to him to decide that, I think the people. Or maybe he could word it a little better saying, 'You know I'll work with anybody that the people would like.' But the way he said it was arrogance galore and that was pathetic."
"With the Bridgeport mayor saying some of the youth need to be smacked on the side of the head and disciplined for their unruly children, which I wanna say I agree with, but this state the government has taken our right, the parents right to smack our children on the side of the head and discipline our children," said Lynn in Hamden. "Because when we do do that then we get arrested for child abuse."
"Now if you smack your child on the side of the head and they call the police, then you're going have parents getting arrested for trying to discipline their children because they hit them," said Maureen in Derby. "I think Mayor Finch needed to use a better choice of words."
