(WTNH) -- Our story about a dad arrested for allegedly paying a teen to beat up a bully has lots of people fired up. We asked viewers to sound off at noon, and we got flooded with calls.

Amanda from Derby said, "people might think this is wrong, and I actually have thought about doing this myself. Today the kids are so bullied. One of my children included. There's never any consequences for these children. You can't do anything about the bullying. If you tell the school nothing happens. If you tell the parents, they want to fight you. I actually sympathize with this father."

Joan from Manchester said, "I don't condone the treatment of hiring hands to fight bullies, but until the schools, principals and staff do something about the problem, it might be a way to go. Let the bullies be home schooled."

Anthony from West Haven said, "I think he had no other options. So I mean sometimes you're just so frustrated as a parent when your kids are being picked on that you act in the wrong way. But I mean he had no choice. They should really be going after the bully."

Jackie from New Haven said, "bullying is not being taken seriously and it's not a priority. And it's time that this issue becomes the priority for our children in the communities. So again, I hope that he is innocent in his actions, but I also think that if this situation was dealt with properly by those that are in charge, that it probably would not have gotten here. And obviously it wasn't dealt with properly."
