(WTNH) --  Tonight many of you still have a lot to say about a Waterbury teacher who landed herself in hot water for a comment that she made. Others are sounding off about a new plan that would toughen dog laws in Waterbury.

"Just heard the commentary reporting on Waterbury and the hearing about walking dogs with muzzles and double leashes and the harness and the collar and double gates. Why does anyone wanna make new laws when the present laws those that are on the books aren't being followed, aren't being obeyed and aren't being enforced," said Mary in East Lyme. "Those dogs are running loose, enforce the laws already on the books."

"I'm calling regarding the teacher with the black boy comment," said an anonymous caller in New Haven. "It's amazing to me how people would like to minimize the fact that this teacher
called that little boy 'black boy.' What if he would have responded, 'yes white teacher?' That would not have been appropriate either."

"Would there be a problem if the teacher referred to somebody as white boy? I don't think so," said Gary in New Haven.

"Wow the police found 40lbs of pot, wow," said Mike in New Haven. "When they find 40 pounds of heroin, 40 pounds of cocaine, or 40 pounds of oxys make a story out of that. Wow 40 ponds of pot, how much are they smoking or how much did they take home? Thank you."
