(WTNH) --At noon we asked our viewers to sound-off about a young classroom bully whose teacher taught him a rough lesson.
She had all the other students in the class line up and smack him. It's a story in Texas that has that boy's mother and a lot of our viewers fired-up.
"The teacher, I think, went about it the wrong way because if kids are instructed to hit other children then that's teaching them violence," said Sue in Groton. "What disturbed me about the whole thing was I understand the mother's feeling about how she doesn't want that teacher in the classroom, but I didn't hear her say anything about what she's gonna do about her son who was bullying other kids."
"I think it's absolutely disgusting that she would make the students hit that child," said Carol in Hamden. "I think she should be hit by all of the parents of the children in that classroom. And I agree with the mother, I don't think she should ever teach ever again."
"She didn't make it a point to say whether she's going to discipline her child as far as letting him know that bullying is unacceptable," said Sheryl in Seymour.
"Having been a teacher in the classroom, I wonder what those parents plan to do to discipline that young man who is the bully. It could end up more serious than just hitting or taunting 6-year-olds," said Rita in Waterford.
"I feel like the little boy got what he deserved," said Shawn in Waterbury, "the teacher was wrong, yes she was, but still he got what he deserved."
