(WTNH) -- In tonight's Voice of the People callers are sounding off on a number of topics including a dispute over a school vote, hospital's using live animals for training purposes, and a teacher who was busted for growing marijuana in his home.

Jennifer from Clinton said, "I'm outraged about what's happening in Clinton. I can't understand what's happening with the voting process and how it can be so manipulating. What ever happened to a vote is a vote. This is just an outrage and we really need your help to get this settled in our town."

Maria from New London said, "I am very appalled at what is going on in Clinton. Those people voted and now their votes don't count. I don't think this is democracy. I think this is something horrendously unfair that when something is put through and has passed fair and square that a small group of people, because they don't like the outcome, can ask for a re-do. That's not democracy. That's not what voting is about."

Liz from Naugatuck said, "I think that what they are doing to poor innocent animals, testing on them should stop. They should be testing prisoners on death row."

Jamar from Winsted said, "The proof is there, I think they should have been arrested, next thing you know he would have been selling it to students at his school if he already wasn't."

George from Old Greenwich said, "I'd like to know why my tax dollars are being wasted on sports. Isn't there a lot of other things that really need to be investigated besides sports."
