(WTNH) -- A lot of our viewers are fired-up over a Waterbury teacher referred to a student as "black boy" and was placed on leave.

"If she didn't remember his name she just should have pointed out the boy in the green shirt or what ever color shirt he had on," said Mary in West Haven, "It's that simple."

"People are too sensitive," said Jennifer in North Haven. "This is why there are racial problems. Something so small turns into a mountain. Get over it."

"I think her remark was definitely racial and she should be suspended to show that you can not call a child 'black boy.' How dare she say that. It is unacceptable," said Linda in Hamden.

"That's so ridiculous. She's just differentiating between who was in her class between a black boy and a white boy and she's just trying to tell somebody and identify him," an anonymous called in Stratford said. "Let's just cut this crap out, things are going way too far."
