Voice of the People: March 11, 2013

(WTNH) --  Senator Chris Murphy is asking NASCAR to drop its NRA sponsorship. And many of you have a lot to say about Senator Murphy's position. Here's tonight's Voice of the People.

Fred from Norwalk said, "This is in reference to Chris Murphy's attack on the Nascar. Every single event they pay tribute to the heroes of the military. This is an undue attack on Nascar. I think Chris Murphy...he should back off and start worrying about budgets and other things like that instead of trying to be a headliner."

Bob from Branford said, "I think it's a shame on Chris Murphy for getting involved in Nascar. He needs to stick to politics and leave everyone else alone."

Jason from Hamden said, "Shame on Chris Murphy and shame on all the other politicians. Nobody said anything when they ran the 26 car in Newtown, which was great for those people. If the NRA wants to support Nascar, good for Nascar. Murphy needs to stick with politics and keep his nose out of everybody else's business."

Danny from Old Saybrook said, "Nascar is ridiculous. There's only one kind of driver that's Formula 1. Nascar drivers don't even know how to drive."
