Voice of the People: March 15, 2013

(WTNH) -- Tonight you have a lot to say about new TSA rules allowing small knives on planes. And you also want to hear more from pro-gun rights advocates. Here's tonight's Voice of the People.

Elle from Seymour said, "We hear a lot from the anti-gun people. We need to hear more from the people like myself who own guns, who are responsible who own guns, who are responsible who have a background check, who register their guns and practice safe gun ownership. I'm tired of hearing just one side."

Tony from Shelton said, "Punishing law abiding gun owners for what the criminals do is wrong."

Jeremy from Meriden said, "I'm just commenting on the knife on the plane. And yes, we should be allowed. Thank you, bye."

Lisa from New Haven said, "I believe that should abandon all knives on planes. They shouldn't carry any type of knife or weapon on an aircraft."

Claudine from New Haven said, "A knife is a knife and you can do almost as much damage with that pocket knife as you can with a larger knife. I just think who ever made that decision wasn't thinking clearly. And it's putting people's safety at risk."
