(WTNH) -- Tonight many of you are weighing in about a lengthy hit list found in the home of Newtown school shooter Adam Lanza. And you also have a lot to say about the debate over gun control. Here's tonight's Voice of the People.

Steve from Brookfield said, "If this guy Adam Lanza had a 7 foot by 4 foot spreadsheet with the names of 500 people, weapons and other attacks in his house. If this is true, then it's obviously true that the mother knew about it. I mean it's kind of scary."

Patty from Derby said, "This Lanza kid, he is a whacko. And you mean to tell me his mother had no inclination?"

Andy from Wolcott said, "I'd like to know what happened to the discussion on violent video games? Every one of these guns this kid had was right out of the video games he played. Yet that's not even mentioned. Once again big corporate companies walk away clean and law abiding taxpayers like me who does own a gun has to pay the price."

Bob from North Haven said, "What the elected officials must realize is that there are tens of thousands of legal gun owners who possess these weapons without incident. You have one mentally ill person that ravages this disgusting behavior and they want to make us all pay. I think we need to get to common sense laws. I think we need to get to the mental health issues."

Joe from New Haven said, "The issue isn't about whether or not we need gun control. We need better control of mental health issues. You deal with the mental health issues, you get the guns away from these people and there's no tragedies. Thank you."
