(WTNH) -- People are talking about the state's new medical marijuana law and how much our judges should be paid. They're also sounding off on an animal cruelty arrest. Here's tonight's Voice of the People.

Anonymous said, "I also suffer from debilitating illness. I've tried so many different medications over at the pharmacy, and they do not help and do not relieve the pain...to just be pain free would be beautiful and I hope that comes through very soon."

Lucille from Pawcatuck said, "I'm outraged to think that people who are making $3,000 a week are asking for an increase in pay that is outrageous."

Frank from Shelton said, "I think they should get a pay raise. That's a job that has to be done correctly and we should want to get good people there to do it."

Joe from New Haven said, "This guy needs to be prosecuted to the ends of the earth for what he's done to those animals. Would he leave his own children in a cold garage that's freezing?"

Joe from Southbury said, "I'm very upset that this guy gets arrested for having the animals in a place where it's 48 degrees? Big deal. At least he's trying to do something."
