(WTNH) -- Folks are sounding off about Wednesday's tragic drowning in Manchester, a disturbing case regarding sex slaves, and retail employees working on Black Friday. Here's tonight's Voice of the People.
Danielle from New Haven said, "How absolutely terrible to hear of this drowning, especially through the holiday season. Well my thoughts and prayers go out with the family and friends and even the school board, I'm sure that everybody is just devastated about this."
Gloria from Middletown said, "Obviously he is taking a class, so that means he is there to learn. Where is the supervision? Where is the teacher?"
Diane from New Haven said, "I hope they realize that it very well was an accident, something must have gone wrong and you know, I'm sure there is no one to blame and the school's not responsible."
Paul from Manchester said, "Connecticut really has to wake up about pedophiles. There's just an awful lot. You know, it's just not enough to put them on a list and pictures if they've been convicted. What about the guys that have not been convicted? The amount of it is probably appalling, most people don't realize."
Anonymous said, "I just think these workers for these retail stores should get paid holiday pay if they're working on Black Friday. Because it's not far, you know they have to go to work, and they gotta you know, deal with people that's gonna trample all over them, trying to get the best deals and get into the stores, so whatever they're going through for that day, they should get holiday pay."
