(WTNH) -- A lot of viewers are fired up about Michael Vick's decision to get a family dog, and they're really split on the issue. Here's tonight's Voice of the People.

Art from North Haven said, "Michael Vick absolutely should never own another dog, ever. He's a killer. A dog killer."

Fran from Meriden said, "absolutely not, he should not be allowed to own a dog. And his children should be explained that the reason the family can't own a dog is the father's actions in the past."

Karen from East Haven said, "this is a man who had no respect for a dog's life in the past...all it's gonna take is for him to lose his temper at some point, and feel that that dog's life has no value and he could get very abusive with it."

Karen said, "yes, I think Michael Vick should own a dog. You people need to get a life. He served his time, he knows what's right from what's wrong. Get over it!"

Marlon from New Haven said, "I'm really disgusted with the way they're making Michael Vick a target. Leave the man alone, let him have a dog, let his family have a dog, so what."
