(WTNH) -- People have a lot to say about politics in tonight's Voice of the People; from the U.S. Senate debate to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton taking blame for the attack on the American consulate in Libya.
And folks are also telling us what they think about the state of New Haven, following the recent shooting of a toddler.
Claire from Hamden said, "I think this is terribly wrong, they threw Hilary Clinton under the bus. I'm disappointed in the Obama administration for doing this. He's President of the United States and he should take full responsibility for what happens under his tenure."
Anonymous from Bridgeport said, "I think Linda McMahon and Chris Murphy both are children. They're more focused on slandering each other and slapping each other and fighting each other than they are in our welfare. If you ask me neither one of them should be in office. I feel they should make a poll and put none of the above."
Anonymous from Manchester said, "it's time to crack down on the landlords who keep these families of gang members who commit these crimes. Getting rid of the nuisance families who don't want to live in a peaceful neighborhood. There are plenty of good families needing a home to raise their kids for a better life for tomorrow."
Anonymous from Milford said, "I used to love to go to New Haven, it was a nice little town, the stores and everything, I used to like to walk around New Haven. But all this drive-by shooting and things that are going on, it seems like it's getting worse In New Haven. I know the police are doing their best to stop the crime, but I'm actually afraid to go to New Haven, I really am."
BJ from Shelton said, "the police chief is doing a great job along with the staff and the Mayor does a wonderful job. Just like our Mayor does here in Shelton, I think. Here's to the police department. If the people that caused these crimes spent more time organizing block parties and trying to get along rather than trying to kill each other, it would be a better place."
