(WTNH) -- There's a lot of talk and concern about serious head injuries associated with high school football. Now, a school board member and former football player in New Hampshire is pushing to ban the sport. It has a lot of people talking from both sides of the fence in tonight's Voice of the People.
Amy from East Haven said, "I don't think football should be banned at all. I think football is great. Parents know what they're putting their kids into. I love football."
Madelyn from Waterbury said, "Safety comes first, especially when were considering our young children who are still developing. In terms of football, absolutely if it's necessary to remove the game to preserve the children's lives then remove the game."
Laura from Naugatuck said, "If they ban football it's ridiculous, because there's a lot of children who play football at the high school level that want to go to college and they try to get a scholarship."
Pat from Meriden said, "I think what they need to do is take a look at making the gear safer. How about better padded helmets for the kids."
