(WTNH) -- Viewers had a lot to say about the presidential debate and a Colorado shooting victim who has become the new face of the gun control movement.

Mary from East Lyme said, "I watched the debate last night. I was very, very upset with the moderator. Thought he should have put a halt many times to Romney going on and on and on. Number two, I think the President should have been much more forceful, I don't think he had to be nasty, rude, and aggressive, but I think he should have been much more forceful...and as far as Romney goes, if we didn't know better, we would believe him. A lot of the things he said last night were outright lies."

Mrs. C. from New Haven said, "with the Colorado shooting victim, in no shape, way, or form will that sway me to re-elect President Obama. All these brilliant people that want to ban guns, why don't they come together and try to figure out how to get illegal weapons off of the streets, and leave us citizens who have legal firearms alone."

Mike from Branford said, "the fact that police got a lot of information from the neighborhood is wonderful news. More of that needs to happen and help law enforcement do their job."

Bob from Shelton said, "I would just like to commend New Haven and the new police chief they have there, every day I watch the news it seems like they're digging up cold cases one after another and keep up the good work."
