(WTNH) -- Folks are all fired up about replacement refs in the NFL. Our inbox flooded with people sounding off on that, and that's not the only thing people are talking about. We also got some calls about sirens to get kids to calm down in Hamden in tonight's Voice of the People.
Mike from Guilford said, "it's pathetic how these refs are screwing up the game for everybody. It was kind of fun to watch because they were letting them play, but then they're screwing the guys at the end. Stupid calls. The teams should boycott next year, next week the players and not even play. Make them make a decision."
Louie from New Haven said, "lot of people are forgetting about how the regular umpires or refs make crucial mistakes, people forget about those guys. But even still, at least they didn't have to look at each other rather than look at the play to make a decision. You got two guys who are looking at each other just to make a decision rather than looking at the real actual play. They're making a mockery out of the NFL."
Lauren from Norwich said, "I think that with the money that goes into sports these days you should not, def not have referees that do not have the education to call the games the way that they need to be called. That was terrible last night."
Maryann from Derby said, "having to install a lighting system in the cafeteria to control noisy children, you've gotta be kidding me. What has happened to good old-fashioned discipline? Have adults become so afraid of children they've forgotten how to put their foots down and tell them to just be quiet. In my day just one look from the teacher and we just shut up."
