(WTNH) -- A couple of things on the minds of viewer in tonight's Voice of the People are: the audit showing Rentschler Field is losing money and stepped-up State Police patrols for the holiday.

David from Niantic said, "why no one bothered to think back when they appropriated over $100 million to build it that it couldn't pay for itself. It's going to continue being a deficit, drain on the taxpayers for years and years. That was a bad mistake. Lawmakers should know that."

Larry from Shelton said, "Rentschler Field is the latest debacle, before that is the busway from New Britain to Hartford, before that it's the company who did Route 84 with drains that went to nothing. Now when is this gonna stop. It's time for big change."

Jeff from Wallingford said, "about the police keeping the roads safe and that's why they're stopping everyone. That is a lot of bull. They just want to make their quota. Come on, wake up."

Ed from Northford said, "about the the state troopers out there looking for violators of the law on the holiday. Where are they all year long? Sitting at Dunkin Donuts sucking on coffee instead of doing their job."
