(WTNH) -- A lot of folks sounding off on the hit and run involving a legislative candidate and a case of police brutality caught on camera.
"Why didn't they do an alcohol test on Ayala," Dottie from Branford asked. "Everybody else would have had to have one, especially if it's hit and run? Is it because she's a political figure?"
"It's obvious that she's getting preferential treatment because of who she is, and she probably knew the officer and she has ties in the city of Bridgeport," said Sylvia from Milford. "If she has any respect whatsoever, she'll just pull out of the race."
"The kid that got pistol-whipped... he should get a $100 million," one caller said.
"It's terrible that the police used brutality in that way, but not for nothing, the guy has a known record and is a criminal, so if he's suing for $10 million, I sorta think it's criminal to give a criminal more money," Joy from Hamden said.
"It is ridiculous. What he deserves is a free pass to get out of jail. He does not deserve $10 million, he deserves to be able to go back and start working like every other average American."
"That gentleman that called in that was knocking your meteorologists about our weather had a lot of damn nerve. Because by them telling us periodically what we could be in for, is basic, basically conducive to our safety," Mary from Branford said.
