Hartford (WTNH) - Nearly 10,000 women are expected at the XL Center with their bibles and some big bucks for the city's economy.

The Women of Faith, Spring 2009 tour, is in Hartford this weekend. It features Christian musicians, authors and performers.

The two day conference brings in more than $4 million for the city.

"We have a great time while we're here. It's great for the area as well," Tyler Crowder from Women of Faith said. "These ladies travel, spend the night at hotels, all of them love to go out and eat afterward. I hope that it's completely a win-win situation."

Attendees from around Connecticut and beyond are excited for the event.

"I was driving in from Boston, I saw all the women walking to the XL Center and I thought wow, it's really neat to have something related to a faith-based in the city so, it's really great for Hartford," Gina Consalvo from Arlington, Mass. said.

The stop in Hartford is one of 29 for the Women of Faith Conference.

The events continue until 9 p.m. and then all day tomorrow.

There are still tickets available. To find out more information, you can visit the Women of Faith's website .
