BRISTOL, Conn. (WTNH) -- There were a string of Dunkin Donuts robberies and police think it's the same knife yielding woman behind each one. One worker in Bristol wasn't having it and wouldn't hand over any cash.
"I went to her, 'what can I get for you?' and she pulled out a knife and said 'give me all your money' and I was like, 'no,'" said Kristina of Bristol. "I'm scared of knives so I was like in shock. It was like this big. It was pretty big. I wanna say it was like something you would cut a steak or something with."
Kristina told News 8 exactly what happened inside the Dunkin Donuts in Bristol. Surveillance photos were taken from a store in Plainville but police believe it's probably the same woman who came in to the Bristol location jabbing a butchers knife at Kristina but she refused to open the cash drawer and instead walked away.
"What made you say no," asked News 8's Bob Wilson.
"I don't know, that was my first reaction. I wasn't really sure what to do. I had never been in that situation before so I dunno," said Kristina.
"You say no to her...What was her reaction," asked News 8's Bob Wilson.
"She just kind of stared at me for the second that I was looking at her and then I walked in back and then she was gone so I'm kind of guessing she was a little bit embarrassed," said Kristina.
Police in Bristol say that just about 10 or 15 minutes later the Dunkin Donuts in Plainville was robbed by a woman who claimed to have a knife. She fits the same description and when she went into the Dunkin Donuts in Plainville, police say that is when the clerk opened the drawer and gave out all the money.
Police are looking to see if these were done by the same person and are hoping to make an arrest soon.
"Did they catch her? Do you know," asked Kristina.
"No, she's still out there. They released a photo looking for her," said News 8's Bob Wilson.
"That is so scary," said Kristina.
