NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) -- A 12-year-old boy was brought to Yale New Haven Hospital after being assaulted at a school playground.
On Nov. 4, around 11 p.m. Officers went to the hospital to talk with the boy. The boy said that around 10:40 p.m., he was with three friends in front of a convenience store on Washington and Columbus Avenue, police reported.
Then the four were walking through the playground of Roberto Clemente School, when two men jumped out from behind benches, taunted the boys, and cut one of the victims on the buttocks with a small pocket knife, police said.
The boy ran home and told his mother what happened, police said. The victim told the officers the men wore sweatshirts with their hoods cinched up.
The boys injury was minor.
