NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) -- A 24-year-old man was arrested after police intercepted more than a dozen lbs. of marijuana sent to him through the mail.
On Wednesday, State Police worked with the US Postal Inspectors to intercept two packages containing approximately 14 lbs. of marijuana.
The marijuana was delivered to a home located at 151 Dewitt St., in New Haven. The packages were accepted by 44-year-old Jacqueline Harrison. After Harrison took the packages into the home, police executed a search warrant.
During the search, police found the packages, as well as numerous other items of evidence. They also discovered that the packages were addressed to 24-year-old Dwayne Singh.
When Singh returned to the home, he was taken into custody and charged with numerous marijuana charges, as well as risk of injury to a minor.
