Around 5:35 p.m., police responded to 911 calls of shots fired in the area of Fort Point St., between Van Zant St. and Seaview Ave.

Upon arrival, officers found two individuals suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Both victims were treated and the scene and taken to Norwalk Hospital for further treatment.

Norwalk Police immediately broadcast a description of the suspect vehicle via hotline to surrounding police departments.

State Police almost immediately stopped a vehicle matching the description, heading north on I-95, in the area of Exit 18. The suspect vehicle exited at Exit 19 and was stopped on Center St. in Fairfield.

Two suspects were taken into custody.
